Full Time -Barber Apprentice
The Barber Shop Mayfair has a great opportunity for an apprentice.
We have been established for 50 years and have a loyal following.
Recently Collaborating with a high end bar, bistro offering more then just a haircut!
The ideal apprentice should be studying towards achieving a Diploma in Barbering level 2 apprentership standard. Should be focused, determined, dependable, hard working, chatty, fun and formal with a passion for barbering.

We do not require you to have prior experience or GCSEs – we need your passion to want to succeed in this vibrant creative industry. You need to be well presented , have the right attitude and be reliable and speak fluent english.
As an Apprentice Barber you will be required to:
- To provide a polite and professional service to customers at all times.
- To provide the first point of contact for customers acknowledge each customer when entering and leaving the shop. Dealing with customer queries in a courteous and helpful manner
- To be responsible for the cleanliness of the shop to a high standard including sweeping the floor and regularly cleaning and polishing the shop
- To be responsible for ensuring all workstations and equipment is maintained (where necessary) and mirrors are cleaned for each member of the team.
- To observe The Barber Shop Mayfair team with their customers, observing their skill, interaction with customers and the techniques used to learn about the The Barber Shop Mayfair experience.
- To utilise the till and be responsible for ensuring there is enough change in the till for the team
- To undertake any other duties that are deemed relevant for the purpose of the post.
- To assist in the smooth running of the shop by running errands including getting change for float, assisting with the cash and carry run.
- To monitor stock control on all products, drinks and other consumables (napkins, till rolls, cleaning products, toilet rolls etc.
- To meet all targets set by the training provider to a high standard within the given timeframe
- To be responsible for ensuring that all paperwork relating to the qualification is completed in a timely manner.
