Specific job skills required:
 Have a minimum 1-2 year’s experience in cutting men’s hair
 Posses strong scissor abilities – layering, scissor over comb, precision cutting
 Have excellent clipper work (blending, clipper over comb and fading) skills
 Poses good drying & styling skills
 Have a good knowledge and understanding of hair
 Be enthusiastic and have a passion for barbering and pass knowledge on through teaching
 Be a team player, be able to multi-task and meet targets
 Be able to thrive in a fast paced, demanding environment
 Have confident presentation skills and be able to speak in front of groups of students
 Have a good literary skills and be able to document information
 Be patient, tolerant and empathetic, personality traits

Key skills/responsibilities:
 To deliver the LSB cutting curriculum (LSB will provide training on this)
 Provide hands-on assistance to students cutting hair on clients in a shop environment
 Act as a mentor to students, setting targets and goals for them to achieve and giving honest and constructive feedback
 Have good communication skills to articulate haircut demonstrations and interact with students

1st stage
A phone interview will be arranged to determine if you have the right credentials/skills for the roll.
2nd Stage
We will then schedule a full day trade test to assess your hair cutting skills, for which we will supply all models. Thereafter you will receive our 3-week paid barbering training program, which includes technical and teaching training. This program could extend longer if necessary.
3rd stage
1 hour Formal interview, where you will be given the chance to tell us why you are suited for this role and give you a chance to ask more questions regarding the company and the role.
