Do you offer loyalty cards?

At this point in time we do not have a loyalty scheme but are considering options for the near future.

Are you wheel chair accessible?

Our Farringdon academy is wheelchair accessible, it is on the ground/street level.

Liverpool Street unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible it is located on the first floor.

Manchester academy is wheelchair accessible, it is on the ground/street level.

If you need assistance to walk up the stairs we will be more then happy to help.

Do you serve tea/coffee?

Unfortunately we do not have tea/coffee facilities however fresh drinking water is available.

Do you have storage for personal belongings?

We strongly advise you to remove your valuables from any of your belongings as these need to be left in the client waiting areas. We are no liable for any loss or theft. Coats can be hung up in the seating area. For health and safety reasons, the area around the chair must not be obstructed.

Who should I contact If I have a complaint?

You can speak to one of the educators at the academy.

If your complaint is with the educator or you are not happy with the way an educator has dealt with your complaint, you can request to speak to the academy manager.

How do I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment through your confirmation email (check spam and junk folder). If you did not receive one you can contact info@londonschoolofbarbering.com

Alternatively you can login to your online account and edit / cancel your booking.

Where is my confirmation email?

If you did not receive a confirmation email in your inbox please check your spam or junk folder.

If you still cannot find your confirmation email, please login to your account where you will be able to access all of your upcoming appointments.

What hygiene policies are put in place?

Razor blades are disposable, used once per client.

Towels are used once per client.

Barbercide is used to clean all barbering equipment.

Gowns are used once per client.

Can I see the same barber that did my hair the last time?

We can not guarantee you will see the same barber, however all our barbers receive the same training at our academies.

I want to go during your quiet times, when is best to book?

The best time to book would be our early morning slots Monday – Friday.

Is there a difference between your academies?

All academies run the same. Some services may not always be available, as this depends on which courses are running at the time.

Is there free parking?

We do not provide free parking on any of our premises.  Please abide by and check the parking restrictions in each area before leaving your vehicle to not incur any fines.

We would advise taking a look at Parkopedia to look up parking information in each relevant area.

Where are your academies located and what are the closest stations?

We have three academies located in central London and Manchester City Centre:

Our academy in Farringdon: 6 West Smithfield, London EC1A 9JX
Closest stations: Barbican (4 min walk), Farringdon (4 min walk) and St Paul’s (6 min walk).

Our academy in Liverpool street: 13 Artillery Lane, London E1 7LP
Closest stations: Liverpool street (3 min walk), Shoreditch (7 min walk), Aldgate (10 min walk).

Our academy in Manchester City Centre: 42-44 Fountain Street, Manchester M2 2BE
Closest stations: Manchester Piccadilly (7-10 min walk), Piccadilly Gardens (4 min walk).

 

Do you cut Afro textured hair?

Yes, we cut all types of hair regardless of hair texture.

I have long hair, can I get my hair cut?

Yes, please choose one of our service options via the booking page and our members of staff will look after you at the academy.

I am a woman with short hair, can I get my hair cut?

Absolutely, London School of Barbering provides services for both men and women as long as you are opting for a short mens’ hairstyle.

Can I choose an educator/senior member of staff to cut my hair?

We currently do not offer educator cuts. You will be taken care of by one of our trained students. In some instances an educator/senior member of staff may use you for a demonstration whereby they themselves will cut your hair.

If I do not like my cut will you redo it?

Our students are trained to check throughout your haircut that you are satisfied. If you are unhappy with the students work please make them or an educator aware as soon as possible.

Educators check the standards of all cuts before a client leaves the premises.

 

 

How long will my appointment take?

Please allow 60-90 minutes for services.

If you are requiring more than one service in an appointment (Haircut & Shave) please allow up to 2 hours for this service.

Can you colour my hair?

We do not provide colour services.

Will you cut my hair in any style that I want?

We have a set of services that we provide, please choose from the options available, you will discuss your style/service with your barber during your consultation prior to any cutting.

What if I am running late?

We still advise you to show up if you are running late as we will try our best to accommodate you.

If you are more than 5 minutes late it is company policy to give late appointments to walk-ins, so that we can ensure our trainee barbers gain the necessary experience and classes start on time. This may mean you may not be seen if you are late.

We are a training academy and provide a service first and foremost to our student barbers so it is imperative that classes’ start on time. Therefore we do kindly ask you to arrive 10 minutes in advance.

 

I missed my appointment what should I do?

As a client having a haircut, you are participating in a learning lesson for the student. Therefore it is paramount for you to attend your appointment or else the student will miss a learning lesson.

What is your policy on lateness?

We ask you to arrive 10 minutes in advance. We are a training academy and provide a service first and foremost to our student barbers so it is imperative that classes’ start on time. Therefore if you are more than 5 minutes late it is company policy to give late appointments to walk-ins, so that we can ensure our trainee barbers gain the necessary experience and classes start on time. What are your opening hours?

Our academy opening times:

Farringdon & Liverpool Street academies:

Mon – Fri: 08:00 – 18:00 (last haircut booking time 17:00)

 

Manchester academy:

Mon –Fri: 09:00 – 19:00 (last haircut booking time 18:00)

 

Do you have an age limit?

You must be aged 13 or older.

How far in advance can I book?

You can book up to 2-3 weeks in advance.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Yes you are very welcome to walk in without an appointment however we cannot guarantee you will be seen.

Can I book my appointment over the phone?

All haircut bookings must be made through our website via the haircut bookings tab. Please select the academy and follow the online instructions.

Can I purchase your products?

Yes, you can purchase our styling products at the academy.

What products do you use?

We are proudly supplied by The Bluebeards Revenge, which include the following; Pomade, Crème, Paste and clay.

 

Do I need to wash my hair prior?

You do not need to wash your hair prior to your appointment however it is recommended for the purpose of time to come with freshly washed hair free of any product.

2+ Clipper Cut – 1/2 cm on sides

Clipper Cut – Same length all around

 

Fades

1 Fade – 1/4 cm on sides

0.5 Fade – 1/8 cm on sides

Zero Fade – 1/16 cm on sides

Foil Fade – 0 cm evenly around sides and back

Blowout Fade – 0 cm on sideburns and neckline

Drop Fade – 0 cm low around hairline
