Do you offer loyalty cards?

At this point in time we do not have a loyalty scheme but are considering options for the near future.

Are you wheel chair accessible?

Our St Paul’s academy is wheel chair accessible, it is on the ground/street level.

Covent garden unfortunately is not wheel chair accessible it is located on the first floor.

If you need assistance to walk up the stairs we will be more then happy to help.

Do you serve tea/coffee?

Unfortunately we do not have tea/coffee facilities however fresh drinking water is available.

Do you have storage for personal belongings?

We strongly advise you keep all your belongs except your coat with you at all times. Coats can be hung up in the seating area (or kept with you), please ensure your belongings are kept at your feet free from obstruction.

Who should I contact If I have a complaint?

You can speak to one of the educators at the academy, if your complaint is with the educator you can request to speak to the academy manager.

How do I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel your appointment through your confirmation email (check spam and junk folder). If you did not receive one you can contact

What hygiene policies are put in place?

Razor blades are disposable, used once per client

Towels are used once per client

Barbercide is used to clean combs etc

Gowns are used once per client

We use disposable neck towels

Can I see the same barber that did my hair the last time?

We can not guarantee you will see the same barber, however all our barbers receive the same training at our academies.

I want to go during your quiet times, when is best to book?

The best time to book would be our early morning slots Monday – Friday.

Why can I not book after 4pm?

We offer evening slots at both of our academies Monday – Tuesday (the last booking is at 20:00).

Our evening slots are very popular and book up very quickly so we recommend to book several weeks in advance.







do not allow bookings at our Covent Garden academy after 4pm. We only allow evening bookings after 4pm on Mondays and Tuesday at our St Paul’s academy.

Is there a difference between your two academies?

Shaves are not provided at our academy in Covent Garden.

Is there free parking?

We do not provide free parking on either of our premises. Please follow the links below for parking prices. If your appointment is in the evening free parking may apply. Please abide by and check the parking restrictions in each area before leaving your vehicle to not incur any fines.

Where are your academies located and what are the closest stations?

We have two academies both located in central London:

Our academy in St Paul’s: 6 West Smithfield, London EC1A 9JX
Closest stations: Barbican (4 min walk), Farringdon (4 min walk) and St Paul’s (6 min walk).

Our academy in Covent Garden: 186 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QD
Closest stations: Holborn (4 min walk), Covent Garden (4 min walk), Tottenham Court Road (6 min walk).

Do you cut Afro textured hair?

Yes, we cut all types of hair. For Afro textured hair please book your appointment by selecting the Afro haircut option.

I am a man with long hair, can I get my hair cut?

Yes, please choose one of our service options via the booking page and our members of staff will look after you at the academy.

I am a woman with short hair, can I get my hair cut?

Absolutely, London School of Barbering provides services for both men and women as long as you are opting for a short hairstyle.

Can I choose an educator/senior member of staff to cut my hair?

You will be taken care of by one of our trained students. In some instances an educator/senior member of staff may use you for a demonstration whereby they themselves will cut your hair.

If I do not like my cut will you redo it?

If you are unhappy with the students work please make them or an educator aware as soon as possible, however if you are completely dissatisfied at the end of your service you can speak to an educator who will assist to ensure you leave with a style you are happy with.

How long will my appointment take?

Typically services last up to 1 hour however some services can take up to 2 hours i.e Full Monty.

Can you colour my hair?

We do not provide colour services.

Will you cut my hair in any style that I want?

We have a set of services that we provide, please choose from the options available, you will discuss your style/service with your barber during your consultation prior to any cutting.

Who do I contact if I am running late?

You can email [email protected] and we will inform the academy you are running late. We advise you to still show up even if you are running late as you may be offered a last minute appointment.

I missed my appointment what should I do?

As a client having a haircut, you are participating in a learning lesson for the student. Therefore it is paramount for you to attend your appointment or else the student will miss a learning lesson. LSB keeps track of persons who repeatedly miss their appointments and sometimes takes measures so strong as banning them from the academy.

What is your policy on lateness?

Everyone must show up 10 minutes prior to their appointment, classes run as punctually as possible, you may loose your appointment if you arrive late and the class has already started.

What are your opening hours?

Our academy opening times:

Mon – Tues: 10:45 – 21:00 (last haircut booking time 20:00)

Weds – Thurs: 10:45 – 17:00 (last haircut booking time 16:00)

Fri: 10:45 – 16:00 (last haircut booking time 15:00)


*These opening times apply to both our Covent Garden and St Paul’s/Farringdon academies.

Do you have an age limit?

You must be aged 14 or older.

How far in advance can I book?

You can book up to a month in advance.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Yes you are very welcome to walk in without an appointment however we cannot guarantee you will be seen.

Can I book my appointment over the phone?

All haircut bookings must be made through our website via the haircut bookings tab. Please select the academy and follow the online instructions.

Can I purchase your products?

Yes, you can purchase our styling products at the academy.

What products do you use?

We use own brand of styling products, which include the following; Pomade, Crème, Paste and clay.

All our products including the shampoo/conditioners are cruelty free.

Do I need to wash my hair prior?

You do not need to wash your hair prior to your appointment however it is recommended for the purpose of time to come with freshly washed hair free of any product.

2+ Clipper Cut – 1/2cm on sides

1 Fade – 1/4cm on sides

0.5 Fade – 1/8cm on sides

Zero Fade – 1/16cm on sides

Why do you not charge?

We pride ourselves as one of the world’s leading providers of barbering education. You will be taken care of by one of our trained students who with your help will have the opportunity to further develop their skills.

What are your prices?

All the haircuts and beard grooming services provided at either of our academies are free of charge.
