INDUSTRY LEADING BEGINNER COURSE
Results-driven training approach is PROVEN and entirely hands-on practical training. This means you won’t be spending all your time in books studying theory.
This course teaches everything you need to be a top barber – from fundamental to advanced styling based on themes and motifs.
You also will provided free access to proprietary LSB step-by-step videos to supplement your academy training.
You will practice these techniques hands-on, on real clients that are provided to you by the academy. With each service you have our pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support.
We provide support to help you find a job. We are here to help you not only learn the skills but to succeed in employment. We also give you access to our network of barbershops who recruit from our graduates.
COURSE SUMMARY
This hands-on course is tailor made for persons wishing to learn or advance their clipper work and fading abilities by training the LSB way. It is also ideal as a refresher before a trade test or to help you get back into the game after some time away.
You will be taught all the core fundamental short men’s hairstyles and techniques. These are essential for anyone wanting to cut men’s hair. You will have our pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support through each haircut that you perform. We will also use trainer demonstrations to break down advanced cutting methods so that you learn the core LSB way of cutting hair including graduated cuts and fading.
By the end of the course you will be confident after completing up to 12 real live haircuts. We provide students all clients which means that you spend your time focused on developing your skills.
You will be invoiced for the remaining amount and have the flexibility to pay as much as you want and when you want up-to 4 weeks before your start date.

Our pro educators will be at your side at all times to supervise, build confidence, progress your skill level and deliver exceptional results. Classes are between 6 to 9 students, with students of all ages and both genders.
We are closed most UK bank holidays including Good Friday.
We accept overseas students visiting on tourist visas and can provide housing options. If you are from a country that is part of the European Union then you likely will be able to travel to the UK without obtaining a separate visa. If you are from outside of the EU then you will need to apply for a tourist travel visa form the UK government, which you can do here: www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa
We provide support to help you find a job. We are here to help you not only learn the skills but to succeed in employment. This involves helping you build a photo portfolio of your cuts. We also give you access to our network of barbershops who recruit from our graduates. After the course, our students go on to getting jobs at barbershops, and some even have since opened their own shops and are doing well.
EQUIPMENT
For the 1 week course you need: Your barbering equipment including: Wahl tapering clippers including guards, trimming clippers, scissors, combs, neck brush, hair dryer and water spray. We require that you use Wahl tapering clippers on this course.
You must have 1 female manikin head (100% human hair), clipper guards for this course, You can purchase these items online at Coolblades using the links below.
You need to have —#0.5 (Lime), #1.5 (Plum), #5 (Yellow)
These items are mandatory and are to be purchased from Coolblades only in order to ensure the correct standard is obtained. If you have some equipment, please check the list above to ensure you have everything on the list and any items you do not have you can purchase individually through coolblades.
You are welcome to bring any brand of clippers, foils etc if you have them, as long as they are in good condition.
You must provide your own model for your final presentation day. Should you fail to do this, you will not gain your NVQ 3 qualification.
E-LEARNING ACCESS
You also will provided free access to proprietary LSB step-by-step videos to supplement your academy training.
Hairdressers & Barbers with least 1 or more years experience cutting men’s hair in a shop setting and be able to complete basic clipper cuts.
It is not suitable for complete beginners.
We accept overseas students visiting on tourist visas and can provide housing options.
To take this course you must have a basic understanding of English in order to converse with your educator and to read and write in English.

Yes all foreigners are welcome to take our courses. The course is taught in English, so it is best that you have a basic understanding of English, or you are welcome to bring along a translator.
