This course is ideal for individuals who have some experience cutting men’s hair and wish to become an LSB Qualified Barber in order to refine their abilities and advance the looks that they can create. The course is also a great stepping stone for persons wanting to take the LSB Masters in Barbering Level 3 Diploma course but have not already taken an LSB Beginner Level 2 course.
Over the course we will take you through our scissor fundamentals including sectioning, round layers and square layers. Next we focus on clipper work and fading including our standard graduated clipper cut and then progressing onto our zero-fading system. This course does not cover foil fading.
We use a practical learning approach in our barbershop academy, meaning that you will practice each technique on real clients provided to you by us. With each cut you will have a pro trainer at your side giving direct feedback and support. You also will be provided educator demonstrations to break down our methods into easily learnable steps.
Throughout the course we will assess you on all haircuts in order to achieve the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Barbering.
LSB qualifies over 800 barbers every year. Our results-driven training approach is PROVEN and entirely hands-on practical training. This means you won’t be spending all your time in books studying theory.
Our pro educators will be at your side at all times to supervise, build confidence, progress your skill level and deliver exceptional results. Classes are between 6 to 9 students, with students of all ages and both genders.
By the end of the course you will be confident and experienced after completing up to 60 real live haircuts (depending on student speed), under the support of exceptional barber trainers. We provide students all clients which means that you spend your time focused on developing your skill.
You also will provided free access to proprietary LSB step-by-step videos to supplement your academy training.
VTCT’s Level 2 Diploma in Barbering from London School of Barbering is an internationally recognised qualification which helps you find work not just in the UK but also abroad. Our barbering course cannot be failed, as long as you put in the time and effort in, you will achieve it.
We provide support to help you find a job. We are here to help you not only learn the skills but to succeed in employment. This involves helping you build a photo portfolio of your cuts. We also give you access to our network of barbershops who recruit from our graduates. After the course, our students go on to getting jobs at barbershops, and some even have since opened their own shops and are doing well.

If you are concerned about your credit rating and are not in full time work, then it is recommended that you apply for finance via a friend or family.
Before applying why not perform a Soft Search Loan Eligibility check:
A soft–search is a type of credit search where a lender can get an idea of whether you’re eligible for borrowing by doing a soft search of your credit report. It doesn’t leave a mark like a ‘hard search‘ does.
The calculators use what’s known as ‘soft’ searches on your credit file – you’ll see the search if you check your file, but lenders won’t. To do this companies work with HD Decisions, a data company owned by Experian. For the ‘soft’ search they first have to find your details at the credit bureau (Experian).
To apply please select the “apply for finance of the full amount” option when booking your course on our website.
After you pay your finance deposit, the remaining monthly payments will start 30 days thereafter via direct debit. Your space on the course is reserved only after you make the initial deposit payment, after which you will receive our welcome email within 1 business day.

Each state has its own process to recognise hours earned overseas. We’ve had a strong track record of Americans training with us and receiving reciprocity for their hours. The process typically entails the learner completing a form for their state board after training with LSB, and LSB provides a letter of reference confirming their hours and modules covered.
