STUDENT BARBER FAQ'S
Q: How are you handling spatial distancing?

To comply with spatial distancing, we are reducing capacity to 50% with every other chair left empty, wherever possible. This allows maximum distance between clients, while students will be wearing additional PPE outlined below. Where spatial distancing is not possible, perspex protection screens have been installed.

Q: What do I do if I feel unwell?

If you have been ill with COVID symptoms please notify us and isolate for 7 days. We will do our best to catch you up on your training upon return. If you have any underlying health conditions then please notify us.

Q: What PPE & Safety measures will be put in place during our training?

  • Every single person within the academy will be required to wear a mask.
  • Visors will be provided for barbers and are mandatory.
  • Persons will have to queue upon entering the academy. 
  • Hand sanitising gel will be available and be asked to be used by all.
  • All tools will need to be disinfected after every client.
  • All students are to clean and sanitise their cutting stations after every client.

Q: What if there is a another lockdown?

If we were to go into another lockdown the following would happen:

If you have started a course – Your course would be placed on hold and once it is safe to resume then we would do so. You would get first priority on dates. 

If your course has not started – The course would be deferred to a later start date you would be notified via email.

Q: What can I expect when I arrive for my appointment?

  • We operate a NO MASK NO ENTRY policy. If you are exempt from wearing a mask you must be able to provide evidence of a negative covid-19 test within the last 72 hours.
  • Hand Sanitising Gel – Every person entering the premises will be required to sanitise their hands with hand sanitising gel.
  • Clean hair policy – It is now mandatory that you arrive with your hair already shampooed the same day of service and without use of hair product.
  • Use of Restrooms – There will be a socially distanced queueing system to use the restroom facilities.
  • Limit 1-1 Interaction – Greetings and goodbyes will be touch-less. There will be no handshakes.

Q: Are you offering all services including shaves and beard trims?  We are offering both shaves and beard trims. All barbers will wear visors and gloves in order to carry out shave services.

  • Masks Required – All persons in the academy will be required to wear a mask. We operate a NO MASK NO ENTRY policy. If you are exempt from wearing a mask you must be able to provide evidence of a negative covid-19 test within the last 72 hours.
  • Disposable gowns will be used on all clients. Visors and masks may be worn by all staff and students.
  • Barber tools will be disinfected in Barbicide after every use.
  • Barber chairs and cutting stations will be sanitised after every client.
  • Hand sanitising gel will be available and be asked to be used frequently by all, especially upon entry.
  • Schools will be cleaned on a daily basis by a cleaning team.
Q: What are the prerequisites for having an appointment?

  • If you have any underlying health conditions or are considered a vulnerable person then please think carefully before returning to our academies.
  • If you have been ill or around someone who has been ill with Covid then please allow at least 7 days before scheduling an appointment.
  • We operate a NO MASK NO ENTRY policy. If you are exempt from wearing a mask you must be able to provide evidence of a negative covid-19 test within the last 72 hours.

Q: How do I book a haircut?

  • All bookings will be made online.
  • Walk-ins will still be accepted if there is availability.
