Your safety and comfort are paramount. Below we outline our safety and sterilisation initiatives.

STUDENT BARBER FAQ'S
Q: How are you handling spatial distancing?

We would love to provide a socially distanced experience, and try where possible. It might not be possible from time to time so we have taken extra safety precautions to combat this. Where spatial distancing is not possible, perspex protection screens have been installed for the safety of students and clients.

Q: What do I do if I feel unwell?

We encourage students to carry out a lateral flow test if you feel unwell or show symptoms of Covid. If you test postitive please notify us and isolate for 10 days. We will do our best to catch you up on your training upon return. If you have any underlying health conditions then please notify us.

Q: What do I do if i’ve been contacted by track & trace?

Students are to stay at home as advised, training paused and to rejoin as soon as possible, that could mean joining a different class depending on when the training was paused.

Q: What PPE & Safety measures will be put in place during our training?

  • Students and staff will be wearing masks, unless exempt, in which  you must display this on your mirror to make everyone aware. 
  • In between each client/student work area there is a perspex screen
  • Persons will have to queue upon entering the academy. 
  • Hand sanitising gel will be available and be asked to be used by all.
  • All tools will need to be disinfected after every client.
  • All students will clean and sanitise cutting stations after every client.

Q: What if there is another lockdown?

If we were to go into another lockdown the following would happen:

If you have started a course – Your course would be placed on hold and once it is safe to resume then we would do so. You would get first priority on dates. 

If your course has not started – The course would be deferred to a later start date you would be notified via email.

Q: What can I expect when I arrive for my appointment?

  • We recommend you wear a mask if you can. Students and staff will be wearing masks, unless exempt, in which case it will be displayed to make everyone aware. If you are not comfortable with an exempt student cutting your hair then please speak to the educator observing the class.
  • Hand Sanitising Gel – Every person entering the premises will be required to sanitise their hands with hand sanitising gel.
  • Use of Restrooms – There will be a socially distanced queueing system to use the restroom facilities.
  • Limit 1-1 Interaction – Greetings and goodbyes will be touch-less. There will be no handshakes.

Q: Are you offering all services including shaves and beard trims?  We are offering both shaves and beard trims. All barbers will wear masks and gloves in order to carry out shave services.

  • Barber chairs and cutting stations will be sanitised after every client.
  • Hand sanitising gel will be available and be asked to be used frequently by all, especially upon entry.
  • Schools will be cleaned on a daily basis by a cleaning team.
Q: What are the prerequisites for having an appointment?

  • If you have any underlying health conditions or are considered a vulnerable person then please think carefully before returning to our academies.
  • If you have been ill or around someone who has been ill with Covid then please allow at least 10 days before scheduling an appointment.

Q: How do I book a haircut?

  • All bookings will be made online.
  • Walk-ins will still be accepted if there is availability.
